152-key Abode Belconnen in Canberra's northern suburbs
Scheduled to open Sept 2020
The new hotel will be the sixth Abode in Canberra
Iconic Hotels will open its eighth hotel under the Abode brand later this year. The Abode Belconnen is on track to open from September 2020.
Abode Belconnen will feature 152 self-contained apartment-style rooms and the all-day ‘No 10’ restaurant and bar. The Hotel will sit within a mixed-use precinct that will be home to more than 3,000 residents alongside dining and recreation facilities.
The new hotel will be the sixth Abode in Canberra, with the group’s other two properties located in Murrumbateman, north of the national capital, and Malua Bay on the NSW south coast.
Iconic Hotels General Manager, Rien Donkin, said the company’s ability to push ahead was a direct result of the strength in its property pipeline.
“The future remains strong for Iconic Hotels, with the development of more hotels and landmark destinations still very much in the pipeline,” Donkin said.
